Emergency Fuel Delivery in Surrey and the Lower Mainland
Running out of fuel is easy to do — a gauge that reads optimistically, a longer detour than expected, or a station that turned out to be closed. Once the engine cuts out you are stopped wherever you happen to be, which on a highway shoulder is not where anyone wants to be standing.
How it works
Call the dispatch line and say where you are, what you drive, and whether it takes petrol or diesel. Enough fuel is brought to you to reach the nearest station safely. You are given the price on the phone before anyone is dispatched.
Petrol or diesel — be sure before you call
Putting the wrong fuel in a tank is an expensive mistake, so the dispatcher will ask you to confirm which your vehicle takes. If you are not certain, the fuel filler flap or the owner's manual will say. If you have already put the wrong fuel in and have not started the engine, do not start it — say so on the call and the vehicle can be towed to a garage instead.
Staying safe while you wait
- Get the vehicle as far off the carriageway as you can manage
- Put the hazard lights on
- On a highway, wait away from the vehicle and behind a barrier where one exists, not in the driver's seat
- Keep the fuel filler closed until the driver arrives

Call (778) 878-7771Frequently asked questions
How much fuel do you bring?
Enough to get you to the nearest station safely. This is a rescue service rather than a way to fill the tank, so plan on refuelling properly once you are moving.
Do I pay for the fuel as well as the call out?
Yes, the fuel itself and the call out are both part of the price. You are told the total on the phone before anyone is dispatched.
My car will not start even after fuel was added. Why?
Diesel engines in particular can draw air into the fuel system when run completely dry, and may need bleeding before they will start. If that happens the vehicle can be towed to a garage.
I put petrol in a diesel car. Can you help?
Do not start the engine — that is what turns a costly mistake into a very costly one. Call and the vehicle will be towed to a garage that can drain and flush the system.
Can you deliver fuel to my home or workplace?
Fuel delivery is a roadside rescue service for vehicles that have run dry. Call and describe the situation and the dispatcher will tell you honestly whether it is something we can help with.
